My long time, frequent customers know this material. They know me.
I metal detected for 42 years, went to over 500 closed Gold, Silver, and Copper mines from the Arctic Circle to Old Mexico. Gold was sold pretty quick to cover expenses. Silver mine finds went in one pile, coppers went in another out in the pasture where they have been accumulating for decades. This came of the Silver pile. Where? I have no idea. Alaska, Yukon, Montana, Michigan, Mexico are all possibilities. It might be natural, native Silver. It might be Mohawkite from Michigan (worth more than Silver in gem grade for jewelry). But the point is I went to known, closed mines. You cannot tell Silver from Mohawkite visually, it takes an acid test. Nitric acid can kill you, its expensive, and damages Mohawkite. So no, I am not testing. You do it if you want.
We just opened a bucket of pieces that were cut over 10 years ago. It was sealed, but all I have done is wipe it off. Some pieces can be lain flat on the table of a trim saw and easily cut into cabochons or pendants. Price on the index card is my MINIMUM.
