Antique White Opaque Milk Glass LIGHTNING ROD BALL 4 3/8” Wide ~with End Collars

This white opaque milk glass antique lightening rod ball is an estate find. The two silver colored end caps/collars are in very good condition and are likely reproductions. Without the proper tools, I’m measuring it as having a diameter of approximately 4 3/8 inches. I do not know enough about these glass balls to accurately date it.
CONDITION: It is free of visible chips or cracks. There are noted straw marks, lines in the glass. A few scattered dark marks, flecks in the glass, and stains on the glass near the ends are noted. When you look inside, you can see a lot of rust colored staining. As pictured.
