Fantastic Antique Original Silver Merc Lightning Rod Ball with Caps

Description

This is an incredible Silver Merc 4 1/2" Plain Round lightning rod ball with caps.  Superb condition and full merc coverage inside.  Merc is normally aged-with usual crazing and spotting due to moisture entering the ball over the many years it was up.  Small hole to fit copper tube rods.  Smaller insert tube inside factory tube.  Not sure whether this was used as a spacer or for some other reason...  You will be proud to add this great piece to your collection!
