    THIS IS A SPECIMEN OF
    THE HARDING MINE PEGMATITE CONTAINING "ROSE COLORED" MUSCOVITE, SPODUMENE AND SEVERAL VERY SMALL (<1mm) CRYSTALS OF MICROLITE PLUS ONE PARTIAL CRYSTAL OF POSSIBLY ALLANITE.
    THE SPECIMEN IS
    APPROXIMATELY 6 X 5 X 5 cm

    WEIGHS 137.3 gm..
    IT IS FROM
    THE
    HARDING MINE, NEAR DIXON, PICURIS DISTRICT, TAOS CO., NEW MEXICO.
    THE SPECIMEN WAS COLLECTED IN 1958 AND IT DISPLAYS VERY WELL.  THIS SPECIMEN WAS COLLECTED UNDERGROUND AND UNDERGROUND COLLECTING IS NO LONGER PERMITTED BY THE OWNER, THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.  THE MINE WAS PREVIOUSLY OWNED BY DR.
