Bouismas Mine, Agdz, Bou Azzer mining district, Zagora Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
This outstanding specimen of native silver as wires on calcite matrix is quite unusual and rare in its locality. The Bouismas Mine is not well known for producing silver wires which makes this specimen an incredible find. The native silver is displayed in hair-like wires as veins running through and across the calcite horizontally. On the reverse side, the native silver also displays wires of hair-like growth in patches. You can also see the silver wire vanes protruding outward from the front side which tells us the silver is connected throughout the specimen. Silver wire is the rarest form of silver and is just incredible to look at with is a complex mesh network of native silver wires
