ere's a sweet piece of pink quartz from the Sierra Nevada Mtns. Shimmering exposures of gold (Au) can be seen jutting out at one end. It's an attractive, out-of-the-ordinary sample of Mother Lode gold bound to be a welcome addition to your collection. I guarantee an altogether natural specimen of gold and quartz. Source is California, U.S.A.
Here, you have embryonic gold direct from it's mother's womb which, in this case, is silicon dioxide (quartz). Specimens this size and quality have become very hard to come by. All my specimens show visible gold and are
authentic
gold nuggets or gold quartz specimens.

I poured through old mining dumps for years looking at orange-yellow-rusty rock through a loupe, but I never found a piece with visible gold.
Hydrothermal solutions carrying gold and silica crystallized into veins of gold quartz. This specimen comes from one of the many vein systems sourcing the immense placer deposits of the Sierra Nevada Mtns, the famed Mother Lode.

FINDING A GOOD CLAIM
In looking back, I wasted far too much effort
working
areas
which
showed
promise, but failed to deliver. It takes time
to prove a property or claim. P
rospecting every day becomes
a treasure hunt with no clue what might turn up
if you keep turning rocks and digging holes. E
ven played-out or just out
right poor ground
can produce a bit of decent gold. It’s been
my experience that finding a little gold is almost as much fun
as
finding a lot.
Making consistent pay, however, is high on every
miner's wish list and,
with so many claims, one never really knows how they might fare.
Mining's a dicey, unpredictable
trade, but it gets in your blood.
You’re doing
something
you
really
enjoy
free from another man’s collar. Vacation or
vocation,
ideally, when you enjoy your work, there's
little
to distinguish the two.
Most days found me working myself to exhaustion but, in the process, I learned a lot
about where gold likes to hide. Through my
years in the profession, I managed to find enough
decent
color to keep me encouraged
while learning
a code of proper conduct.
I came to believe one's word should
mean something. I
f
a claim or property owner asks for 20%
royalty and you agree to those terms, 20% is
what they should get.
I believe integrity matters.
All in all,
I'm
proud of
my
accomplishments and my reputation
. If you think it's been easy maintaining a 100% positive feedback at Ebay, think again.
If there's
one
lesson about prospecting
a guy who's been
there
might
pass
along
, it’s
"go where the gold is, not
where
it
isn't".
For one reason or another,
I know how easy it is to
become
invested in
poor
properties.
Camped alongside a
clear, mountain stream or up some desolate desert canyon, it's
easy to become immersed in one's isolation.
You keep telling
yourself, "there's gotta be good gold here." Maybe
a clear
spring runs downhill just a
short hike
up the trail from your
encampment. It’s peaceful and scenic
. You feel a
connection with nature missing while amongst the massess, the
crowded places frequented by man. Here, in this serene
place, you feel yourself
refreshed and destressed.
In such calm surroundings, one
keeps hoping
the gold will improve
.
Hardly anyone ever
ventures
into this part
of the world and you begin to wonder, "My God!
Is this heaven,
or what?
Thanks for checking out our digs.
