Greetings from Crazy Al.
I'm a prospector, rock hound, and former gem store owner. Had to close my brick and mortar in spring of '20. Had all these valuable gems gathering dust, and figured a fun way to share them with everyone.
There are quite a few prize bags as well.
With all kinds of fun stuff...
- Large faceted precious gems
- Extremely rare gems
- Local crafted pendants
- Gem and mineral specimens
One lucky bag of this extremely limited run of 108 bags will have a Quarter ounce solid gold American Eagle coin inside. Plus some nice nuggets too. Maybe a large faceted gem Ruby like a cherry on top.
This Paydirt should be dry panned thoroughly to get the gems before wet panning to get the gold.
Some of the placer base Paydirt is mined by me in Northern NM. Most gold found in NM is fine flour to extremely fine flour. I've got some good spots where I find a few good pickers. Still some fines but more larger flakes. The panning is still difficult due to mud and silt, but that's where them pickers are a hiding!
Here's a commando pro tip for panning:
Find a spot where a stream or creek you know has gold in it crosses under a road, (or perhaps even strongly suspect,) if the culvert under the road is corrugated, take a shovel and scoop from the grooves a bit inside... Watch out for black widows!
The culvert acts like a sluice box.
You're welcome.
#1bag.
