Vintage Pflueger 429
This large size spin reel was made in Japan. It was made in the late 70s, it weighs 19.6 oz. It will hold 250 yds. of 16 lb. test. It is in excellent condition mechanically and everything works great. There is a lot of wear to the finish rotor and heel mostly. The bail, drag, gears, roller and anti-reverse all work great. This reel has a 3.9/1 gear ratio and it is a grade 7+/8+. Its a good reel to fish with, and a fair quality fishing reel.
The reels I sell are 98% used, and in between 20 & 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new.
